Home Psychiatry service is an intensive program for those with mental health issues, whose purpose is to prevent hospitalization, shorten hospital stays and even assist in preventing repeated admissions. Sabar Health staff support the patient with availability 24/7. Apart from the medical and supportive care given to the mentally ill individual, organizational support is provided to the family to appropriately address the needs of the patient and his routine, such that the team supports the family and operates to make maximal use of the resources in the community. For example, they assist in making an application to the Rehabilitation Services committee, contact of the welfare services, contact with mental heal clinics, mediation with daycare facilities, and more.
The purpose of the Home Psychiatry department is to provide comprehensive and intensive care for mentally ill patients. This with the global perspective that sees great significance and value in the patient staying in his own home, in the surroundings he lives in and knows, while taking full treatment responsibility - medically and socially, by a professional team of experienced psychiatrists, nurses and social workers, trained in the field of mental health.

- After receiving a referral for the service along with the relevant material, a Sabar Health psychiatrist will come for an evaluation visit, at the end of which an appropriate, personalized treatment program will be devised to address the needs of the patient and his family.
- In accordance with the recommendations of the professional team, a permanent team will be appointed, to include a psychiatrist, a nurse and a social worker, who will accompany them for the entire duration of the treatment.
- The team remains in contact with healthcare services and the community as required and in tandem with the patient and his family, in order to maintain the sequence of treatment, prevent repeat hospitalizations and to maximize use of community resources.
- The team conducts regular home visit and provides the patient hand is family with physical, medicinal, emotional and social assistance, and is available to them at any time for the entire duration of the treatment.
